The Knox County Housing Authority (KCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program waiting list is currently open. It opened in December 2014, and is open indefinitely. This waiting list was last open in June 2012.

There are two ways to apply:

Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be dropped off to the KCHA office at the address above.

The following preferences have been identified: Live or work in Knox County, employed or enrolled in higher education or job training, veteran, elderly, disabled, homeless, victim of domestic violence, displaced, rent burdened, living in substandard housing. Applicants will receive a confirmation number upon submitting the pre-application. It is important to keep that number in a safe, easy to access place. It will be needed any time when referencing your pre-application with the housing authority.
